Our client is seeking a Lighting Service Technician for immediate hire. Our client specializes in theatrical / stage lighting, TV studio production, and architectural / creative lighting solutions. Key Responsibilities :
Customer service via phone and email for lighting equipmentInstallation, commissioning, and programming of new lighting control systemsProvide training for end-users and colleaguesTroubleshooting, service, and support for lighting control systems and fixturesGenerate, maintain, and organize related filesMaintain factory certification with industry partnersStay up to date on industry trends and manufacturer product offeringsAdvise systems integrators on system designEvaluate project site conditions and statusRequired Skills and Qualifications :
High attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong working knowledge of entertainment lighting and riggingUnderstanding of standard control protocols (DMX, RDM, sACN, etc)The ability to read and understand schematics and mechanical drawingsFamiliarity with computer networkingSelf-motivated but able to collaborate with othersStrong aptitude with mechanical and electrical systemsAbility to prioritize and work well with time constraintsInterpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in communication with a broad range of personnel and personality typesComfortable working in active construction sites and other high-pressure environmentsAbility to lift 70 lbsBackground in Film, Theater, or Broadcast IndustriesKnowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam or other CAD softwareThe ability to work independently or as part of a teamSafe practices when dealing with high voltagesComputer literate with data entry experienceValid driver’s license with a clean driving record
