We are seeking a Sales Consultant to join our Cook County Ford team! This position is to assist customers in the process of buying a new or used vehicle. They are responsible for guiding customers from their initial interest to the final sale, ensuring a positive and satisfying experience. The position often involves a combination of direct customer interaction, product knowledge, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
Customer Engagement : Greet customers, listen to their needs and preferences, and help them find the right vehicle.
Sales Process : Present and demonstrate vehicle features, conduct test drives, and negotiate pricing and terms of the sale.
Lead Generation : Actively seek out and follow up on new sales leads through phone calls, emails, and online inquiries.
Product Knowledge : Maintain a deep and current understanding of all vehicle models, features, specifications, and pricing, as well as staying informed about the competition.
Administrative Tasks : Complete all necessary sales and financing paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, and maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities.
Customer Service : Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Sales Targets : Meet or exceed individual and dealership sales quotas.
Qualifications & Skills
Required :
A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
The ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse range of clients.
A professional appearance and a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
The ability to work flexible hours, which often includes evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
The ability to pass a background check and / or drug screening.
Often Preferred, But Not Always Required :
Previous experience in sales, especially in the automotive industry.
Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
