Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit :

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of six health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. Position Summary :

Recruit a postdoc for the primary focus on QSAR modeling. Responsible for data collection, curation, integration, and database development and maintenance. The postdoc will also initiate implementation of machine learning models, developed for the properties of interest into a web-portal.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :

PhD in Pharmaceutical or Medicinal Chemistry or related field.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience :

• Practical knowledge of machine learning methods and applications to chemical and biological databases at scale required.
• Ability to independently design and execute experiments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Evidence of potential to function as a team leader.
