Buff City Soap is looking for talented individuals to join our Finance team to own financial planning and analysis. The Manager of FP&A will report directly to the CFO and actively partner with Accounting, Merchandising, eCommerce, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations to provide forecasts and analysis that will allow Buff City Soap to manage and optimize its four business units. This role is highly visible within Buff City Soap with significant room for growth. This is a hybrid position with 4 days working in office at our Support Center in Addison, TX and 1 day remote.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and analyze key performance metrics across all business units
- Support the CFO in the design of the annual budget process
- Lead annual budgeting & quarterly forecasting processes across all 4 business units and corporate departments
- Build Board materials, including periodic financial review and quarterly strategic review
- Analyze and report on expense variances versus budget
- Track and report on corporate-owned location operating costs and help facilitate the store-level budgeting process
- Maintain the Company’s 5-year plan and develop models to analyze strategic business opportunities
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Company’s data and reporting sources
- Manage and motivate one direct report (Financial Analyst)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
MBA or master’s degree in accounting / finance preferred, bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance requiredAt least 5 years of relevant business experience (e.g., consulting, investment banking, or function specific roles in financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, accounting)SKILLS & ABILITIES
Superior analytical and modeling skills; ability to summarize detailed analyses / data into executive-level presentationAdvanced Excel skills required, knowledge and experience with Domo a plusWorking knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial principlesStrong verbal and written communication skills; executive presence requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & TRAVEL
