$2,623 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Cardiovascular Operating Room

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift

Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in CVOR or general OR required, with travel experience preferred

License : RN license (single state or compact)

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS

Must-Have :

  • One year experience preferred
  • Education : Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred

Description :

Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient / family.

Identifies and meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.

Promotes the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through the nursing process.

Acts in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.

Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care and organizational mission.

Assesses the patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation and review of clinical data.

Evaluates the patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Develops and implements the patient plan of care and observes outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Demonstrates competency in a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.

Provides patient and family education through assessment of learning readiness and needs.

Recognizes the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care.

Delivers care with respect for cultural differences and the diversity of human experiences.

Delegates to non-RN personnel according to applicable regulations and policies.

Effectively uses time, personnel, equipment, and supplies to provide high-quality patient care.

Functions effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication and mutual respect.

Precepts and mentors new staff or nursing students as needed.

Seeks out learning opportunities and continuing education.

Maintains professional records that provide evidence of competency and lifelong learning.

Evaluates one’s own integrity and practice in relation to professional standards and guidelines.

Takes action to achieve goals identified during the evaluation process.

Demonstrates commitment through ongoing participation in meetings.

Understands the importance of continuous quality improvement data.

Utilizes quality measures to improve performance and accountability for patient outcomes.

Participates in unit-based quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and research activities.

Uses current healthcare research findings to enhance clinical knowledge and role performance.
