Technical Expertise
- Master advanced techniques in hair cutting, coloring, and styling.
- Stay informed about current hair trends and Aveda product lines.
- Conduct detailed consultations with clients to understand and meet their needs.
Client Interaction
Provide technical guidance to clients during consultations.Address and resolve client questions, concerns, and feedback.Recommend appropriate Aveda products for clients' at-home care routines.Support fellow stylists in addressing client challenges and ensuring satisfaction.Team Leadership
Act as a mentor to junior stylists and assistants, fostering their growth and development.Organize and conduct workshops, training sessions, and skill-building activities.Lead by example in professionalism, customer service, and adherence to salon standards.Mentor the Assistant Team Lead, providing guidance and support to ensure effective leadership collaboration.Step into consultations and services when additional expertise is required.Host staff huddles three times a week to discuss goals, updates, and team performance.Facilitate a weekly discussion topic in the teams GroupMe chat to encourage engagement and professional growth.Attend weekly Team Leads meetings every Saturday at 8 : 15 AM to align with management and discuss salon objectives.Product Knowledge
Maintain a deep understanding of Aveda products and their benefits.Educate both clients and team members on product usage and features.Stay updated on the latest product launches to keep the salon offerings current.Quality Control
Ensure all services provided meet The Color Bars high standards.Address client complaints promptly and professionally to maintain satisfaction.Uphold a clean and organized work environment for both the team and clients.Enforce the dress code and the use of the salons QR code system.Operational Responsibilities
Oversee and submit the bi-weekly Aveda color order form to maintain adequate inventory.Communicate with management when supplies are running low to ensure continuous operations.Approve discounts only up to $25; any higher discounts must receive prior approval from a manager.Professional Development
Participate in ongoing education, training programs, and professional development opportunities.Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and innovations to maintain expertise and inspire the team.Communicate with management for support and guidance, ensuring alignment with salon goals and addressing challenges effectively.
