The Division of Acute Care Surgery (ACS) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha is seeking a dedicated Acute Care Surgeon to join our collaborative and supportive team of 20 surgeons and a robust group of APPs. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collegial team committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a dynamic and high-volume environment. Our hospital partner, Nebraska Medicine, is an American College of Surgeons-designated Level I Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, managing : 3,100 trauma-related admissions annually 2,100 emergency general surgery cases per year Opportunity Highlights : Broad scope of practice, including elective general surgery, emergency general surgery, trauma, and surgical critical care, managing high-acuity patients Join a fast-paced, high-volume, and high-performing surgical team Train and mentor future surgeons in our ACGME-accredited Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Access to Da Vinci Robotic Surgical Systems with dedicated robot block time Opportunities to engage in clinical research and education programs Mentor and train residents, fellows, and medical students Loan Forgiveness – UNMC is a qualified employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program Exceptional Compensation & Benefits Physicians enjoy a highly competitive package, inclusive of a variable compensation plan.
