Outreach Branch Manager I

Cass County Public Library

Status : Full-time; Non-exempt

Reports To : Assistant Director

Cass County Public Library is seeking a dynamic and community-focused Outreach Branch Manager I to lead our outreach services across Cass County. This position oversees the bookmobile, Library by Mail, and other mobile and off-site programs that expand library access beyond our physical branches.

The Outreach Branch Manager supervises outreach staff, coordinates schedules, manages outreach vehicles, and develops partnerships with schools, senior centers, community organizations, and underserved populations. This role combines leadership, public service, and program development to ensure equitable and innovative library service throughout the county.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise outreach staff, including scheduling, training, and evaluation
  • Manage outreach vehicles and Library by Mail program
  • Plan and deliver outreach programs at schools, senior centers, and community events
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations
  • Ensure a positive, inclusive, and professional patron service experience

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in communications, education, marketing, public administration, library science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in programming, outreach, or community engagement a plus
  • Valid Missouri driver’s license and ability to drive large vehicles required

    • Pay : $24.50 per hour plus excellent benefits
