Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

The Huntsville, AL VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) is actively seeking a BC / BE Psychiatrist to join our mission-driven healthcare team!

Position Overview :

• Schedule : This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling options, including either four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days per week. Limited, phone-only call rotation
• Patient Load : The position includes 30 hours of direct patient care and 10 hours of administrative time per week. New patient intakes are scheduled for 60 minutes, while follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes in duration. Patients are seen in-person or telehealth.
• Weekly Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) team meeting

• Employment Type : Federal with full VA benefits
• Paid Time Off : 50 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 days paid absence for CME)
• Retirement : Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) AND federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
• Competitive salary : $270,000 to $315,000 per year
• Annual Performance bonus of up to $15,000
• Education Debt Reduction Program : Eligible physicians can receive loan repayment assistance of up to $200,000 over five years.
