Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Certified Medical Coder on a short-term contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

Review and verify the accuracy of medical codes (CPT, ICD-10, EMT) assigned by the internal team

Ensure compliance with regulatory and coding guidelines

Provide quality assurance feedback and flag inconsistencies

Required Qualifications

Proven experience with CPT, ICD-10, and EMT coding

Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred

Familiarity with healthcare documentation and terminology

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under minimal supervision

Tech-savvy and comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
