Overview

The Town of Lunenburg seeks qualified applicants for the position of Staff Librarian with responsibilities in services for children.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Assisting the Library Director with the development and implementation of library programs
• Readers advisory and services for patrons at the Library
• Collection development and management
• Providing reference and reader’s advisory services
• Attending meetings, as needed
• Supervising Library Pages, as needed.

The ideal candidate must love working with children, have a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of library services, systems, and programs, and be a creative team player and active problem solver. Must possess excellent skills in customer service, supervisory, planning and organizing, and computers. Ability to multi-task and work independently.

This is a 32 hour per week, benefited position. Grade 6 AFSCME union position. Pay range : $25.24 / hr-$31.64 / hr DOEQ.
