Security Guard - Access Control - Weekends

As a Security Guard - Access Control - Weekends in Walton, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, checking credentials, and supporting a welcoming environment for all visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, reflecting our commitment to teamwork, reliability, and putting people first. Pay Rate : $18.04 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeSat06 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AMSun06 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with access control procedures at the retail location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting visitors, employees, and / or customers with site-specific protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail space and around the perimeter to observe and report any security-related issues.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, maintenance concerns, and / or unusual activities as required by Allied Universal and client site policies.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following site-specific instructions and collaborating with local authorities as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and promote a secure environment for employees, visitors, and / or customers.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
