Yard Operations Dispatcher

Legacy Supply Chain is currently seeking a Yard Operations Dispatcher to support our customer, GE Appliances, inside Appliance Park. The successful candidates will utilize company provided software and two-way radios to dispatch approximately 15 drivers per shift, ensuring workflow is completed as needed. This position will also work within the Gate Operations to help process inbound / outbound drivers and loads coming in and out of the Appliance Park.

Schedule and Compensation :

  • Monday through Friday - 5 : 30am to 1 : 30pm
  • Starting pay - $19.00 per hour

Job Details :

  • Communicate shift needs efficiently with Spotters & customers
  • Work with customer leaders to identify yard moves needed
  • Dispatch yard moves according to specific needs
  • Maintain equipment for operational success
  • Troubleshoot issues as it pertains to daily operations
  • Contact appropriate vendors for repairs to equipment as needed
  • Process inbound / outbound drivers through TrackX / CICS
  • Verify driver ID for CTPAT regulations
  • Assign all RFID tags and maintain tag inventory
  • Troubleshoot any paperwork, systems, or appointment discrepancies
  • File all necessary paperwork
  • Verify SCAC, trailer numbers and correct paperwork are provided at time of arrival
  • Follow International discrepancy process when necessary
  • Verify Bill of Lading matches physical trailer upon departure of Appliance Park
  • Verify trailer accuracy by performing lot checks in a company vehicle
  • Identify any safety related or non-compliance issues and address with management as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

    • Qualifications :

  • Experience working in team-oriented environment
  • Transportation or warehouse experience preferred
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent judgment and decision making
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Application Software, including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Excellent customer service
