Description :

The Behavioral Health Home Hospital (BHH) Research Psychiatry Nurse will support an innovative care delivery model.

The program offers patients an alternative to standard inpatient psychiatric hospital admission.

Patients can receive highly specialized psychiatric-care services in their homes.

The BHH Research Psychiatry RN will provide quality clinical services to patients in various community settings.

Patient care is delivered within organizational philosophy, policy, and standards of nursing and community health practice.

Responsibilities are performed in accordance with established policies and standards of practice.

The BHH Research Psychiatry Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process.

This includes assessment, diagnosing, teaching, planning, implementation, and evaluation of BHH patients.

The BHH Research Psychiatry Nurse can expect to see patients twice a day in-person.

The nurse will coordinate nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.

Collaboration with other professional disciplines will ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.

The BHH Research Psychiatry Nurse will provide hospital-level treatment to patients in the community.

This role is ideal for someone interested in a temporary position.

It offers an opportunity to work on a research trial to broaden treatment options for patients with active acute psychiatric conditions.

Key responsibilities include :

Planning and implementing treatment independently in collaboration with a multidisciplinary psychiatric team.

Accurately assessing patients' needs.

Documenting nursing clinical care and patient education to ensure high-quality patient care.

Establishing and adjusting patient schedules in collaboration with the home-based clinical care team.

Utilizing multiple data sources to determine actual or potential health problems and functional status.

Identifying patient strengths using a recovery-oriented framework.

Performing point-of-care assessments to monitor patient progress.
