• C-section experience including scrub, recovery, and circulation in Labor & Delivery
• Travel experience preferred

Description :

• Unit has 10 Labor & Delivery beds and 2 operating rooms.
• There are 2 triage beds and 18 postpartum beds.
• The unit has an average of 130 births per month.
• The nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 1 close to delivery and 1 : 2 otherwise; for postpartum, it is 1 : 4 couplets.
• The fetal heart monitoring system is Obix, and the electronic medical record system is Cerner.
• Charge nursing is shared between Labor & Delivery and postpartum.
• No nurse aides or OB techs are available, only scrub techs in Labor & Delivery.
• There is a weekend requirement of 4 shifts in a 4-week period.
• Holiday requirements include 1 major and 1 minor holiday.
• Major RN holidays include Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year's.
• There are no call requirements.
• Telemetry is not available and will transfer out when needed.
• Ventilator support is not available.
• There is 24 / 7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support.
• Common diagnoses and types of patients include deliveries down to 23 weeks and some high-risk cases.
• Antepartum care is provided, along with support for known cardiac abnormalities from perinatology.
• The Labor & Delivery unit has the highest staffing need.
• The cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment.
• Floating occurs to postpartum with specific background requirements for NICU.
