Director Of Sales

The Director Of Sales Is A Key Leadership Role Responsible For Driving Revenue Growth Through Strategic Sales Initiatives And Effective Team Management. This Position Plays A Critical Role In Expanding The Organization's Membership Base Through Targeted Sales Efforts And Relationship Development. The Director Is Accountable For Developing And Executing Strategies To Attract New Members, Managing The End-Of-The-End Sales Process, And Ensuring High Levels Of Member Satisfaction And Retention. In Addition, This Role Is Responsible For Maximizing Sales Opportunities And Overall Profitability By Promoting And Securing Bookings For Rooms And Event Spaces At The Resort. The Director Oversees All Sales Activities, Leads The Sales Team, And Cultivates Strong Relationships With Both Internal Stakeholders And External Clients To Generate Revenue And Support Long-Term Business Success.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Develop And Implement Effective Sales Strategies To Achieve Revenue Targets And Increase Occupancy, Working With Market Segmentation And Yield Management Practices.
  • Design And Implement A Dynamic Sales Growth Plan Tailored To The Market, Focused On Increasing Membership Acquisition.
  • Design, Complete And Prepare Follow-Up Action Steps For Sales Calls In Designated Market Segments, In Cooperation With The Overall Sales Department Mission.
  • Develop And Implement A Plan To Solicit New And Existing Accounts To Meet / Exceed Revenue Goals For Both.
  • Focus On Sale Efforts To Include Outside Sales, Sales Blitzes, Sales Presentations, Telephone, Mail And Email Solicitation And Communication. Utilize Social Media And Property Websites To Help Accomplish Revenue Goals.
  • Oversee Development Of Rates And Group Sales Deployment Strategies Through Review Of Competitive Data, Demand Analysis And Market Mix Management.
  • Identify The Competition And Analyze Bookings At Other Local, Regional Industry And Competitive Set Properties.
  • Participate In The Development Of The Annual Sales Budget And Provide Regular Sales Forecasts And Reports.
  • Ensure Compliance With All Relevant Regulations And Company Policies, Particularly Those Related To Human Resources And Sales Practices.
  • Collaborate With GM To Develop And Implement Marketing Strategies To Attract New Business.
  • Manage And Motivate A Sales Team, Providing Guidance, Training, And Performance Management.
  • Additional Duties As Assigned.

Skills / Abilities :

  • Education / Experience :

  • A Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, Or A Related Field. (Preferred)
  • Sales Experience Required.
  • A Strong Understanding Of The Hospitality Industry, Including Market Trends, Competitor Analysis, And Revenue Management Strategies.
  • Proficiency In CRM Systems (Like Salesforce), Sales Strategy Development, And Forecasting Is A Plus.
  • Strong Leadership, Team Management And Motivational Skills Are Crucial.
  • Catering Sales Experience, A Plus.
  • Must Be Able To Pass A Background Check.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged Periods Sitting At A Desk And Working On A Computer.
  • Must Be Able To Lift Up To 25 Pounds At Times.
  • Ability To Work Indoors And Outdoors.
  • Must Be Able To Physically Reach, Bend, Stoop And Kneel.
  • Must Be Able To Work Under Variable Temperature Conditions (Extreme Heat Or Cold, Indoors / Outdoors).
