As a Security Professional Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting access control measures. Your role will involve interacting with visitors and staff, utilizing technology such as computers or tablets, and upholding our core values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach. Pay Rate : $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 03 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 PM

Tue 03 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 PM

Wed 03 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 PM

Thur 03 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 PM

Fri 03 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
