Adelphi is seeking Special Education Teachers to serve in Greenville County, South Carolina, providing specialized instruction and support for students with learning disabilities and multi-categorical needs. Openings are available at both the middle and elementary school levels.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Special Education endorsement / certification for Learning Disabilities (LD) or Multi-categorical (multi-categorical preferred; LD acceptable).
  • Completion of a teacher preparation program with student teaching.
  • Background check and fingerprinting clearance.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Adapt and deliver instruction to meet each student’s unique needs and IEP goals.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs in compliance with IDEA and SC state standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using data-driven instruction.
  • Collaborate with general education staff to promote inclusion and accessibility.
  • Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of student performance and services provided.
  • Employ a variety of instructional strategies and tools, including technology, to enhance learning.
  • Support the emotional, social, and academic development of students with disabilities.
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
