Your skills, compassion, and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.\n\nMore about our team\n\nThe Labor & Delivery / OB team operates on a 1 : 1 nurse to patient ratio in a warm and welcoming environment with 10 beds, dedicated medical staff, and pediatric coverage by a Board Certified provider.\n\nHow you'll contribute\n\nIn this role, a successful Registered Nurse (RN) will : \n

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and identify individual needs.\n
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions in a timely manner.\n
• Provide care that is tailored to the condition and age of the patient.\n
• Document medical necessity accurately and promptly in the medical record.\n
• Develop and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.\n

• Professional Development : Opportunities for ongoing learning and career advancement.\n\nWhat we're looking for\nCandidates should hold a current state RN license and have an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include : \n
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.\n
• Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) certification within six (6) months of hire.\n
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six (6) months of hire.\n
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six (6) months of hire.\n
• One (1) year of recent Labor & Delivery experience.\n
• Recent RN experience.\n
• Preferred : Two (2) to Three (3) years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience and one (1) year of Medical / Surgical or Critical Care nursing experience.\n\nMore about our facility\n\nOttumwa Regional Health Center is a 217-bed hospital with a legacy of exceptional care to the Ottumwa community for over 133 years.
