Position Summary :
Service Managers are passionate about providing unforgettable experiences for our guests. Front-end management directs and oversees all activities in accordance with standardized policies in order to provide efficient, friendly services and profitable operations. Additionally, this role possesses an enhanced focus and dedication to the details of all front of house organization and service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
Reports directly to the General ManagerMaintains a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean and professional imageAssists FOH Manager with management of FOH staff (may include : scheduling, staff conflict, documentation, hiring, termination, corrective action, training, etc.)Responds to guest inquiries and provides assistanceHelps with duties of other employees (i.e. host, server, food runner, etc.) when necessary because of an unexpected absence or extra volumeOversees organization, efficiency and policies pertaining to both office duties and service in the dining roomKeeps up to date knowledge of food and beverage items on menuSupervises staff in terms of guest service, cleaning, and repairs to restaurant and groundsPerforms daily inspections to check functionality of FOH equipment (operating systems, bar equipment, etc) and periodic audits to check safety of equipment with a BOH managerEnhances and strengthens guest relationships, both established and newPromotes cooperative effort, team spirit and good morale among employeesDelivers excellent guest service including personally greeting, seating guests and touching tables during serviceMoney handling during service and afterClosing the restaurantOverseeing FOH labor to ensure staff is taking appropriate breaks, clocking in / out, and ensuring no one is hitting overtime (40+ hours)Resolves complaints from guests in a polite, friendly manner always making sure we follow up with them when needed (also reporting all escalated situations to the General Manager)Works collaboratively with FOH Manager, CDC and any other staff to drive the success of the restaurantHas a strong understanding of company background, core values and philosophyAdheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedureBar Administrative duties
Completing and submitting all Spirits / Beer / Non-cafe NA beverage inventory every Wednesday.Placing Spirits / Beer / Non-cafe NA beverage orders with case breaks and inventory spending in mind to maintain appropriate pars for the program.Work with BOH Management to ensure produce and non-perishables for Bar use are ordered appropriately to consumption pars.Printing and assisting with creation of retail labels for house made Beverage items.Assist Beverage Manager with maintaining Brand Relationships and communicate any Engagement prospects to Beverage Manager and GM.Work with Beverage Manager and Head Bartender to ensure appropriate menu rotation, and scheduling Research and Development goals.Assist Head Bartender with Research and Development oversight, and ensure all appropriate progress is communicated to the Beverage Manager.Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills) :
Must have full availabilityHigh School Diploma or GED graduateFood Handler Certification, basset (alcohol handler), allergen certification requiredAbility to handle stress under pressureWillingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environmentAbility to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detailAbility to work independently, with minimal supervisionFamiliarity with 7Shifts, Open Table, and / or Toast preferredPhysical Demands and Work Environment :
