The Human Resources Generalist channels staffing, employee relations, benefits, training, employee engagement, compensation, performance management tracking and a wide variety of other HR generalist activities. This position reports to the Plant Human Resources Manager.
Responsibilities
Supports traditional HR areas of employee relations, benefits administration, compensation / merit administration, HR compliance, wellness programs and employee activitiesDevelops and maintains strong partner relationships with the business and key stakeholders to coach and influence the best business decisionsIdentifies training and development needs within an organization and completes all required annual Human Resources and legal trainingPre-screen candidatesReview disciplinary actionsAssist in maintaining employee personnel recordsAssist with policies and benefitsSupport Safety, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain with any initiativesSupport new hire onboardingEmployee questions / supportEnhance employee engagement - monitor employee morale and company culture, as well as manage programs such as recogntion,community outreach, onboarding, etc.Assist with investigations taking the lead when neededTraining (soft skills and any new programs, policy changes, etc.)Maintain required annual trainingReview and audit KronosRespond to unemployment claimsCreates an employer brand in the community that will serve our intense recruiting needs over the next few yearsMaintains high visibility to promote HR programs and assist management with effective facility wide communicationProvides continuous improvement of HR processesKnowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities, facilitate projects and business processes and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative teamStrong collaboration and problem-solving skills requiredStrong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Strong knowledge of HRIS or ability to learn very quicklyKnowledge of UKG a plusStrong knowledge of employment law and policiesIntrinsic motivationStrong interpersonal skillsLean knowledgeQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related field2 years HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentPHR certification preferred#LI-DB1 #LI-ONSITE
