Overview
CBRE is seeking a dedicated Building Sr. Engineer to join our team in Longview, TX, for a 2nd shift position, 3pm-11 : 30PM, Monday - Friday, onsite role. As a vital member of the Engineering and Technical Services team, you will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and repair of a not-for-profit health system's facilities. Your duties will encompass the monitoring, upkeep, and troubleshooting of critical building systems.
What You'll Do
- Conducts advanced preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and installations on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within buildings.
- Monitors building systems\' performance and operations under general guidance.
- Adheres to all relevant codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations.
- Operates, maintains, and performs preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of building equipment, including HVAC, electrical, and life safety systems.
- Maintains the professional appearance of the property, equipment, and engineering spaces.
- Prepares estimates, manages supplies, and orders materials for completing tasks.
- Oversees and inspects the work of external contractors across various services like landscaping and HVAC.
- Performs specialized tasks (carpentry, electrical, etc.) and inspects building systems like fire alarms and HVAC.
What You'll Need
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications / licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders, and the ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.Benefits
