Description
The Business Development Representative builds the sales of the CarQuest company by building a rapport with the existing customer base, both commercial and retail, as well as finding new customers, both commercial and retail. He / she does this by continual follow-up, phone calls, personal visits, and cold calling new business potential customers. It requires excellent communication and the desire to grow the business as well as themselves. Providing excellent customer service is priority number one. You will partner with the store team to execute at a high level to achieve all sales targets and KPIs. This can be a fast-paced position where no two days are the same.

Partner with Store Manager to :
- Meet and exceed store sales targets & KPIs.
- Grow strategic customer segments year over year.
- Develop new and maintain current customer relationships to grow in strategic categories.
- Resolves all guest problems and concerns promptly.
- Promote customer retention programs throughout the year.
- Assist with staffing the stores where needed.
- Provide training to existing staff and new staff to foster consistency and growth.
- Manage time and day schedule each week for all stores for customer base.
- Manage accounts to ensure they are kept paid timely and visit with accounts who may be delinquent.
- Promote the stores and build promotions to build sales.
- Ensure dealer stock is maintained as an assistance to store manager.
- Back up leader for when store manager is out.
- Manage and complete all call backs, DC returns on daily basis.
- Drive company success by creating new and unique business ideas to grow CarQuest in the locations where they serve.
Other duties include :
Interacting with customers via phone and in person to provide support and information on products and services.Processing orders for commercial and retail accounts.Opening / closing the store if the store is short-staffed.Heavy volume of telephone calls incoming and outbound.Other duties as assigned.Requirements
Education :
High school diploma / GEDExperience :
5 years of previous customer service experience preferred2-3 or more years automotive parts knowledge highly preferredLicense(s) / Certification(s) :
ASE Certification is a plus.Other Requirements :
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
