A construction services company in California is looking to add an experienced professional to their team as their newVice President of Safety & Fleet. In this role, the Vice President of Safety & Fleetwill be responsible for leading and overseeing all safety and fleet management operations within the company.Responsibilities : TheVice President of Safety & Fleetwill : Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Lead a culture of safety awareness, continuous improvement, and accountability throughout the organization.Oversee and optimize the management and maintenance of the company's fleet, including trucks, vehicles, and equipmentImplement cost-effective fleet management strategies, including maintenance schedules, fuel efficiency, and replacement schedulesProvide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for team membersBuild and lead a high-performing Safety &Fleet Management teamIdentify and assess potential safety and fleet-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate themDevelop and manage the safety and fleet budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resourcesProvide regular reports to senior leadership on safety and fleet performance, KPIs, and recommendations for improvementsLead and supervise a team of Safety Managers and Regional Safety Coordinators across various locationsEnsure that Safety Managers and Regional Safety Coordinators stay up to date with the latest safety regulations and industry trendsPerform other duties, as neededQualifications : 10+ years of experience in Safety & Fleet ManagementBachelor's Degree in a related fieldPrevious experience in a Leadership and / or Supervisory roleStrong knowledge of Safety regulations and compliance, as well as Fleet Management best practicesExperience in managing budgets and driving cost-effective solutionsSolid analytical and problem solving skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills : Master's DegreeCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Fleet Manager (CFM) designationExperience working in the Construction and / or Distribution industry
