Cardiac Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Bel Air, Maryland 21014

Unit : 3E CPU – Cardiac Telemetry

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 – 07 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1790 - $1920

Patient Population : Adult patients

Patient Ratio : 5-6 patients per Registered Nurse

Weekend and Holiday Coverage : Required as scheduled

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience

Active Maryland or Compact RN license required

BLS and ACLS (AHA only), CPI, and NIHSS certifications

Epic EMR charting experience preferred

Ability to float within hospital units as needed

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Two professional references from recent employers

Must reside at least 50 miles from Bel Air, MD

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac and medical patients (CHF, COPD, NSTEMI, Afib, arrhythmias, sepsis, renal failure)

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; manage cardiac drips (no titration); respond to rapid response and code teams

Administer blood products; manage chest tubes, PICC lines, and peripheral lines

Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)

Float to other nursing units within scope of practice

Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR system

Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
