About the Company

At Segula Technologies, we are seeking a highly motivated Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and validating vehicle dynamics performance, ensuring optimal ride comfort, handling, and stability. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on testing skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering teams to deliver safe, reliable, and high-performing vehicles.

About the Role

The Vehicle Dynamics Engineer will lead the development and validation of vehicle ride, handling, and stability performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and validation of vehicle ride, handling, and stability performance.
  • Responsible for Vehicle Dynamics performance optimization on Advanced Programs.
  • Support / lead multiple programs with analysis / optimization of suspension, steering and tires for kinematics and compliance; full vehicle Ride, Handling and Braking Stopping Distance.
  • Interact with Advanced Packaging, Chassis, and Powertrain organizations to establish architectural hardpoints of steering and suspension components that are required to deliver the kinematics needed to attain desired vehicular functionality.
  • Oversee construction of Proof-of-Concept (POC) test properties to ensure sound build quality and timeliness.
  • Communicate the status of the vehicle dynamics performance to all other program teams.
  • Establishing Full Vehicle Targets, based on Ride and Drives, Competitive Vehicle Benchmarking, Customer Feedback and Lessons Learnt.
  • Create and maintain competitive segment specific vehicle dynamics targets.
  • Work with Virtual Analysis team to develop virtual simulation plan, review results and determine next steps.
  • Use Driving Simulator to Validate Suspension Architecture before POC Mule.
  • Provide direction to program management on which suspension architectures to utilize.
  • Tune the Mule Vehicle for Ride and Handling to meet the Functional Objectives.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or equivalent).
  • Should have experience with Ride and Handling, Kinematic and Compliance.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Steering System or Tires or Suspension Component Design.
  • Subjective Evaluation for Handling Experience or Racing Background.
