Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM
We are open to discussion a 1099 rate which would be different from the rate presented. Est. 300,000-320,000.
Position Summary :
The Indian Health Service (IHS) Albuquerque Area Office is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive mental health services to Native American adolescents at the New Sunrise Regional Treatment Center (NSRTC). This position requires direct patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team in a 24-bed residential treatment environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct psychological evaluations, mental status exams, diagnostic assessments, and formulate treatment plans based on DSM-5 criteria.
- Provide evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy, including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Prolonged Exposure, and EMDR.
- Address co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use) and crisis situations, including suicide risk, trauma response, and behavioral emergencies.
- Deliver culturally relevant therapy that accounts for the unique social, historical, and cultural needs of Native American youth.
- Provide case management support and coordinate with family, educational, and community resources as part of a holistic treatment approach.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) using government-provided equipment and software.
- Participate in treatment planning meetings, staff conferences, and required in-service trainings.
- Complete all clinical documentation, patient progress notes, discharge summaries, and follow-up reports as needed.
Qualifications :
Active, unrestricted Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.Minimum of one (1) year of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably with adolescents or in residential treatment settings.Must hold a valid State License to practice Psychology .Experience with psychological testing, crisis intervention, and treatment of trauma and substance use disorders is preferred.Proficiency in DSM-5 diagnostics and EHR systems.Ability to pass a federal background investigation and child protection clearance.$200,000 - $250,000 a year
