Maintenance Controls Specialist - $5000 Sign on Bonus

The Maintenance Controls Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of our manufacturing equipment and systems. This position involves a combination of technical expertise in control systems, electrical engineering, and maintenance practices within a food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Control Systems Management : Maintain control systems for various manufacturing equipment and processes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and other automation components. Optimize control strategies to enhance equipment efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Electrical Systems Maintenance : Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems, including motors, drives, sensors, and other electrical components. Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and execute maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Safety and Compliance : Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Perform regular safety inspections and participate in safety training programs. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to electrical and control systems.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to improve productivity and reduce costs. Implement upgrades and modifications to existing control systems to enhance performance and reliability.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and troubleshooting efforts. Document control system configurations, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation as needed.
- Flexibility : Willingness to work non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education / Certifications And Experience
High school diploma or GED, required.Technical or Associate Degree, Electrical Journeyman's License, or certificate in related trades, preferred.Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field, is a plus.At least 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment.Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and SCADA systems.Strong understanding of electrical systems, including motors, drives, and industrial sensors.Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electrical and control systems.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new technologies as needed.Working Conditions And Physical Effort
Work involves exposure to elements such as dust, fumes, noise, and vibration. Seasonal exposure to weather elements, including extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity may occur.Work environment involves exposure to risks around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, and other safety considerations.Physical requirements include standing, walking in a plant environment, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and performing movements such as bending, kneeling, and reaching on a daily basis.Expectations

Pay Range : $47-$50 per hour DOQ. Sign-on bonus of $5,000 (paid $2,500 at hire and $2,500 after 6 months).
