- Designing, developing and optimizing chemical processes to improve efficiency, yield and product quality, including using simulation software.
- Conducting laboratory experiments to understand chemical reactions and improve process conditions.
- Developing and implementing new technologies and process improvements to reduce costs, increase productivity and promote safety.
- Collaborating with other professionals such as production managers, engineers, and quality control personnel, to ensure that chemical processes meet production targets and product specifications.
- Monitoring and analyzing process data using statistical software to identify trends, troubleshoot issues and optimize process parameters.
- Ensuring that chemical processes comply with regulatory requirements and safety standard, including hygiene.
- Writing technical reports, standard operating procedures, or SOP's and batch records to document process development and production activities.
- Assisting with root cause analyses in support of non-conforming in-process and finished product lots.
- Lead and coordinate process improvement projects including periodic updates for stakeholders.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for processes and equipment.
- Minimum baccalaureate degree in chemistry or chemical engineering (or related field) with at least 5 years relevant experience.
- Excellent problem solving skills to identify contributing factors and identifying corrective / preventative measures.
