American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of acute care experience and active ARRT(R) certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in an acute care hospital radiology departmentWork in general X-ray with one X-ray room, one Fluoro room, and portable machinesPatient population primarily includes adults with occasional ER pediatric patientsCoverage includes general X-ray, OR, ER, in-patient, and outpatient areasRequired to operate C-ARM during OR cases such as general ortho, cystos, and ERCPsEquipment includes Toshiba Fluoro and X-ray room, a newer GE X-ray room, and portable machinesUses Epic EMR for documentationNight shifts : every other Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AMOccasional call with a 45-minute response time, one week every 6 weeks shared among three technologistsOrientation is approximately 1–2 weeks depending on skill set and includes EPIC trainingWill perform general X-ray, Fluoro, and OR imaging procedures as needed, including use of portable and stationary equipmentDepartment provides approximately 12 hours of orientation and training on equipmentDress code requires black pants and any solid colored scrub topHoliday coverage required as neededReturning candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facilities within the past yearPermanent residence of at least 50 miles from the facility is required for certain states including AZ, NV, NE, IA, and MN\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care X-ray experienceActive BLS certification requiredARRT(R) certification requiredAbility to independently operate C-ARM and perform general X-ray and Fluoro studiesExperience in OR, ER, in-patient, and outpatient imaging settingsExperience with Epic EMR required or willingness to trainLicense required if applicable, must be active at time of considerationCopy of driver’s license required for considerationTwo professional references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility\n Benefits\n
