Key Responsibilities :
- Installation and Maintenance :
Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, network equipment, and other data center hardware.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting :Monitor the performance of data center systems, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure optimal uptime.
Physical Infrastructure : Manage the physical infrastructure of the data center, including power, cooling, and cabling.Security : Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and threats.Documentation : Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.Collaboration : Work with other IT staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.Staying Up-to-Date : Keep abreast of the latest technologies and best practices in data center operations.Skills and Qualifications :
Technical Skills : Strong understanding of server hardware, networking protocols, operating systems, and virtualization technologies.Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving : Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.Physical Dexterity : Ability to work in a data center environment, including lifting and moving equipment.Communication Skills : Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.Certifications : Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Cisco certifications) can be beneficial.
