About The Position We are seeking a board-certified Family Practice Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Texas starting Nov 17, 2025. This role offers day shifts, typically Monday to Friday, providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages in a primary care setting. The physician will serve as the sole provider, supported by a Medical Assistant, and utilize the Elation EMR system. Job Details Location : Texas Start Date : Nov 17, 2025 LOA : 60 days Provider Type Needed : Family Practice Physician Schedule : 8AM-5PM, typically Monday-Friday (part-time may be considered) Responsibilities and Duties Conduct 30-60 minute patient appointments for new patient visits, wellness exams, and urgent care Deliver full-scope primary care, including management of diabetes, weight, mental health, sleep, nutrition, minor injuries, and acute illnesses such as strep throat Refer patients through the nurse navigation company as appropriate Practice independently as the sole provider on site Provide culturally sensitive care to a predominantly Catholic patient panel (excluding discussions of family planning and contraception) Collaborate with the Medical Assistant to ensure efficient patient care Utilize the Elation EMR system for documentation and patient management Additional Information Must be male (per client request for team balance) Minimum 3 years of experience required Board certification in Family Medicine required Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required Must be comfortable and experienced in urgent care settings Technologically proficient and willing to learn a new EMR Ability to practice independently with blue-collar and employer-sponsored patient populations Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
