Certified Public Accountant (CPA) & Tax Associate

Location : Pasadena, CA ( Remote Option Available )

Compensation : $115,000 – $135,000 (based on experience)

Direct Counsel is representing a professional law firm actively seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) & Tax Associate to join its Trusts & Estates (T&E) division . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CPA with strong estate and trust taxation expertise to work in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare and review federal and state tax filings, including :

IRS Form 706 (Estate Tax Return)

IRS Form 709 (Gift Tax Return)

IRS Form 1041 (Fiduciary Income Tax Return)

CA Form 541 (State Fiduciary Income Tax Return)

Assist with trust funding and allocation matters.

Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and advisors on estate and trust taxation issues.

Conduct detailed tax analysis to support estate planning strategies.

Qualifications :

Active CPA license with 5+ years of experience as a CPA.

Strong background in estate and trust taxation .

Prior experience with law firms, trust companies, or private client service groups preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills .

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
