As an Associate Director at Atwell, you will be a highly valued leader with robust opportunities. Essential Functions :

  • Establish business relationships, both with colleagues and clients
  • Manage business operations for your team per client guidelines
  • Foster current staff by assisting with yearly targets and annual business planning
  • Define department objectives through collaboration
  • Encourage strategic growth of the team by creating a business development strategy across your region; this includes expanding current clients, identifying new potential clients, and fostering long-term relationships
  • Maintain memberships with local residential and commercial organizations to continue to expand the reputation of the group along with the organization
  • Have established relationships with land developers, general contractors, and architects to identify and win projects
  • Manage financial goals of the group :

  • Team utilization, invoice ratio, multipliers, profitability
  • Assist Project Managers with AR collections, effort vs contract value, project profitability, change order submission, monthly invoicing
  • Risk management; contract review, proposal review, licensing review
  • Manage invoices / subcontractors as needed
  • Ensure deadlines and commitments are fulfilled
  • Create and maintain current company standards per client request
  • Research and implement technology improvements
  • Ensure operational excellence and a repeatable process for deliverables.
  • Communicate with employees :
  • Lead from the front by example and allow an open flow of communication with all members of the team
  • Manage staff :

  • Leverage other teams to define the recruitment and interview process. Negotiate a full compensation package and be aware of market standards to stay competitive in the market.
  • Maintain internal relationships :
  • Communicate often with Regional Vice President, Local Vice Presidents, and Directors
  • Onboard new staff : create a culture of excellence from day one
  • Communicate any performance issues to HR, Senior Leadership, and individuals for documentation, and termination of employees once approved by HR.
  • Responsible for Health & Safety :

  • Health and Safety is largely emphasized throughout the organization.
  • Be aware of organizational standards, communicate any potential issues with the Safety staff, and be aware of ever-changing industry standards to stay up to date.
  • Qualifications :

  • Survey-focused Bachelor's Degree
  • Professional Survey License required (or in process)
  • 5+ years of experience leading survey teams focused on Land Development or Renewable Energy

    Pay Range

    $120,000—$160,000 USD
