Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Position Overview :

Jenks Public Schools is seeking a skilled American Sign Language Interpreter to provide interpreting services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. The interpreter will work in either a high school or elementary school setting, supporting communication between students, teachers, and peers to promote full participation in the educational environment.

Responsibilities :

Provide real-time ASL interpretation in classroom and school settings

Facilitate communication between students, staff, and peers

Adapt interpreting to match student needs and instructional content

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure accessibility

Requirements :

Proficiency in American Sign Language

Educational interpreter certification preferred

Experience in a school setting a plus

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Details : Full-time
