Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Your primary responsibilities will include performing bank reconciliations, maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month-end close processes.

Responsibilities

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.

Prepare and post journal entries related to cash transactions.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.

Assist with other accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll as needed.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes.

Experience with month-end accounting procedures.

Strong understanding of general ledger maintenance and journal entry preparation.

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

An associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00 / hr.
