Production Planning Associate - Essential Duties

The IMCO Production Planning Associate assists in activities related to the planning and development of tool production and inventory, including purchasing production materials (i.e. blanks

Duties and associated responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

  • data entry, primarily in excel. Basic excel skills necessary.
  • performing daily production scheduling tasks to maintain and control manufacturing output
  • monitor jobs / orders within and outside of the facility to make sure they are processing accordingly
  • maintain the job due dates for outside services and purchase orders
  • review the need for internal tool modifications and create in-house production jobs, when necessary
  • per the timetable set by the Production Planning Supervisor / Manager, run the Reorder Point Reports for inventory items and take appropriate actions to replenish the inventory as needed
  • make computer entries to close out completed jobs for outside services and internal transfers
  • other duties as requested by Production Planning Supervisor or Manager

Experience & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Computer experience, including basic Excel knowledge and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions
  • Effective time management skills to balance multiple priorities and demands.
  • Adequate interpersonal and verbal communication skills that allow for proper information exchange (receiving and disseminating information)
  • The ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
  • Must follow all safety rules to prevent injury to self and others.
  • This position requires the ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully within the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and / or quantitative productivity standards. This position requires regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.

    Other requirements are :

  • Must be able to ambulate safely in a manufacturing environment, while pushing a tool cart.
  • Must have flexibility of hands and fingers in order to handle tools and tool trays safely.
  • Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, ability to differentiate colors blueprints.
  • Ability to lift and carry items of varying weight not to exceed 45 lbs.
  • Wage & Schedules

    Base rate of $16.00 - 18.00, depending on applicable experience.

    1st Shift, Monday thru Friday, 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM, 30 minute lunch.

    Training schedule is 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM and typically takes 6 - 12 weeks. Upon completion of training, schedule will transition to 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM.

  • Working Conditions :

    The Production Planning Associate will work in a variety of settings, including the following : an office area with noise from office equipment, passersby, and telephone conversations. A warehouse area where there could be contact with residual oils or dusts; moderate noise levels. A production area where there could be contact with natural and synthetic oils, as well as various grinding dusts; moderate noise levels.

    All areas have climate control.
