My client is seeking an  Entry-Level Cash Accountant  to join their team at their Reston, VA HQ. n this critical role, you’ll gain hands-on experience in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting business operations—all while contributing to the financial success of our organization. What You’ll Do :

  • Prepare and post  daily journal entries  to ensure accurate recording of cash activity.
  • Reconcile  positive pay information  between bank records and company systems.
  • Process and reconcile  cash receipts , ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain and oversee the organization’s  check stock .
  • Handle the  escheatment  of uncashed checks in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Assist with  monthly accounting close procedures , ensuring financial records are accurate and complete.
  • Respond to inquiries from  Treasury  and collaborate with other business areas to address financial questions.
  • Contribute to other tasks and projects as needed.

    • What We’re Looking For :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Strong foundation in accounting concepts and principles, including journal entries and bank reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with  Microsoft Excel  and strong technical skills.
  • Exceptional  accuracy and attention to detail —your work drives the financial integrity of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • General ledger accounting experience is a  plus.
