Platform Engineer

Solidus is hiring a Platform Engineer. The ideal candidate will have general experience in both traditional infrastructure provisioning of platform resources for existing on-premise infrastructure hardware that ideally also has basic experience in emerging DevOps / DevSecOps & Modernized technologies. This is an on-site role based in Richardson, TX requiring occasional travel to the customer site for upgrade and implementation activities as necessary.

Day in the Life :

• Leverage company and industry with the best practices and capabilities to develop and communicate implementation, of infrastructure solutions
• Maintain existing systems through Linux Based Tools and manage the COTS stack on the system to support program needs
• Assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as VMWare
• Ensure that the COTS stack and versioning and will work with the team to make updates as necessary
• Engaged in the daily implementation of the system updates and upgrades with Focus on the Linux Server / Linux OS
• Involved with implementation of traditional computing / network / storage systems and related software updates, as well as maintaining operating systems and existing server hardware designs, and supporting the design and development of new modernized system designs as needed
• Travel to customer sites to assist with system updates and deliveries when necessary

Full benefits : $87,000 to $109,000 annually
