Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital is a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation facility located at 700 W 45th Street in Austin, Texas. It's designed to help individuals recover from serious injuries or illnesses that have significantly impacted their ability to function independently.

• Specialized Rehabilitation Programs : Tailored care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, orthopedic trauma, and other neurological or complex conditions.
• Intensive Therapy Model : Patients typically receive at least three hours of physical, occupational, and / or speech therapy per day, five days a week, under the supervision of a rehabilitation physician.
• State-of-the-Art Facility : Offers modern therapy equipment, private rooms, and a dedicated team focused on maximizing recovery and quality of life.

24 / 7 Medical Support : Around-the-clock nursing and physician oversight ensure continuous care and safety throughout the rehabilitation process.

How you'll contribute

Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs

Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records

Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements

Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition

Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state / federal

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and requirements :

Candidates must have certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degree

Current and valid state OTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the states where services are rendered

CPR certification (when required)
