Security Professional - Front Desk - Full Time

As a Security Professional - Front Desk - Full Time in Brooklyn Heights, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while remaining attentive to any security-related concerns. By maintaining a professional presence and utilizing technology, you will help to deter incidents and support the community. Pay Rate : $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Tuesday 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Friday 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Saturday 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Sunday 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and / or credentials as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Assist with visitor and resident inquiries, providing information and directions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and / or unusual occurrences at the front desk.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and / or site contacts regarding security-related matters and emergencies.
  • Support emergency response activities as appropriate to the location and post assignment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience with access control systems and / or badge processes is preferred.
  • Possession of a current guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
