We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team for a high-profile infrastructure project. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in structural engineering to impactful projects while collaborating with a team dedicated to technical excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will :
- Perform advanced structural analysis and design for heavy civil infrastructure projects, including reinforced and pre-stressed concrete, steel, timber, deep foundations, gravity-based foundations, earth retaining structures, crane pick plans, and bridge decks.
- Ensure designs comply with all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, engineering reports, memoranda, and design submittals.
- Develop working / draft construction drawings for collaboration with AutoCAD drafters.
- Tackle complex engineering challenges requiring deep knowledge of heavy / highway civil construction and structural engineering.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support project and business objectives.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have :
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution (Master’s degree in structural engineering preferred).10+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with specific experience in bridge design and construction.Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with preference for licensure in New York or New Jersey.Proficiency in structural finite element analysis software such as MIDAS or RISA.Strong working knowledge of Excel and Mathcad.Comprehensive understanding and application of industry-standard codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC Steel Specification and Construction Manual, NDS, AREMA, AASHTO, and AWS.Active membership in industry organizations (e.g., AISC, AWI, RCSC) and commitment to ongoing professional development.Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience working on projects in the New York metropolitan area is preferred.Why Join Us?
