Class A CDL Driver
- $2,000 Hiring BonusD&D Commodities, a business unit of Central Garden & Pet Company, is a leader in the bird food manufacturing industry. We are searching for a Class A CDL Driver for our Argyle, MN location. This role is essential to the success of our shipping operations and plays a critical role in delivering products safely and efficiently to and from our local production facilities. The Class A CDL Driver will also support other departments as needed and contribute to safe and smooth day-to-day operations. Shift Details :
- First shift : Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 am 5 : 00 pm.
- Full-time position (40 - 45 hours / week), with potential for some additional overtime and weekend shifts.
Location : Argyle, MN Key Responsibilities :
Load, secure, and deliver freight using company equipment, ensuring product arrives intact. Route runs between Argyle, MN and Stephen, MN.Safely operate trucks with a GVW up to 80,000 lbs. and maneuver into loading / unloading positions.Inspect vehicles regularly and perform basic preventative maintenance.Comply with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.Review shipping paperwork and organize deliveries efficiently.Assist with errands, supply pickups, and other duties as assigned.Support production and / or maintenance teams when not driving.Maintain clean driving and delivery documentation and report any incidents, defects, or violations.Qualifications :
Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred; must pass DOT background and drug screening.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and prolonged standing.Forklift certification or ability to become certified onsite.Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with attention to detail.Minimum Experience & Education :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Two or more years of verifiable driving experience preferred with current and clean Class A CDL.Working Conditions :
Work is performed in trucks, trailers, warehouses, and outdoor environments.Work environment includes a non-climate-controlled warehouse with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, product irritants, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.Allergy Notice :
