Substance Abuse Counselor

BayMark Health Services is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team, providing exceptional care and support to individuals facing challenges with opioid use disorder and other substance abuse issues. This role involves applying specialized clinical skills to promote recovery and improve the overall quality of life for our clients. Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients? substance use disorder and related problems to determine appropriate treatment plans. Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients? needs and goals. Provide ongoing counseling and support through individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment and advocate for client needs. Educate clients and families about addiction and recovery processes. Maintain accurate records and documentation of treatment progress. Facilitate outreach programs to help individuals in the community recognize symptoms of substance use disorders and understand treatment options.
