Site Superintendent - Structured Cabling / Low Voltage
Location : On site, locations all over LA County. Occasionally might go to Rancho Cucamonga for equipment.
Working hours : Fall Hours : 2 : 30pm - 11 : 30pm (Occasional 12 hour shifts; Occasional overtime on Saturdays).
Contract Duration : 3-4 months
Start Date : ASAP
Hourly Rate : $57.68 / hr
What you will do
- Build pathways for CCTV / Public systems - not purely constructions; some technical knowledge.
- Superintendents aren\'t hands on - union owns the work.
- Superintendents will be picking up tools that our company supplies - this is what they carry around in vans.
- Field Reporting using E-Sub.
Job Summary
The Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, ensuring construction progress remains on schedule, workers are aligned with project goals, and safety and quality standards are met. This role is the field leader responsible for task coordination, issue resolution, and team communication.
Key Responsibilities
Project Briefing : Conduct daily kick-off meetings to outline tasks, objectives, and individual roles to ensure crew readiness and alignment.Task Allocation : Assign work based on each team member's experience and capabilities, maximizing efficiency and productivity.Equipment Check : Verify that all tools, materials, and equipment are present, operational, and staged for the day's tasks.Safety Briefing : Deliver daily safety talks and enforce compliance with all safety procedures and site regulations.Set Expectations : Define clear timelines and deliverables for each task to keep the team focused and deadline-driven.Regular Check-ins : Monitor crew performance and job progress throughout the day; resolve issues and escalate when needed.End-of-Day Review : Lead debriefs to assess what was completed, identify blockers, and plan corrective actions or next steps.Training & Mentorship : Provide real-time coaching and support to crew members to strengthen capabilities and accountability.Communication : Act as the point of contact between field crew, PMs, and upper management; maintain clear, consistent communication.Documentation : Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, issues, delays, photos, and completed work for internal records and reporting.Qualifications
5+ years of field experience in structured cabling, low voltage, or construction supervisionStrong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skillsOSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain) - if extend past 90 days - yesFamiliarity with interpreting blueprints, job specs, and project plansProficiency with reporting tools, mobile field apps, and Microsoft Office / ExcelMust pass DOJ background check - Any violent felony will not be hiredJ-18808-Ljbffr
