About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS required, ACLS preferred

Must-Have :

Med Surg experience required

Experience starting IVs required

Cerner and teaching hospital experience preferred

Community hospital experience preferred

Description :

Position / Specialty : Med Surg RN.

Shifts : 3x12 Night shifts (19 : 00-07 : 30).

Ratios / Daily Caseload : 1 : 6 for all shifts.

First-timers accepted.

Will work every other weekend.

Will float between 2 Med Surg units as needed.

Must discuss schedule requests with manager.

RTO requests should be discussed with manager.

Guaranteed hours : Client may call-off up to 36 hours per assignment without paying for the canceled hours.

Special requirements include Med Surg experience and starting IVs.

Staffing & Scheduling :

Patient ratios for days : 6.

Patient ratios for nights : 6.

Patient ratios for weekends : 6.

Float required between 2 Med / Surg units.

Patient Care Details :

Patient age groups : Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics.

Daily census : 25 beds.

Number of rooms : 25.

Interdisciplinary Support :

Includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary.

Patient Diagnoses :

Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, Post-operative Orthopedic procedures, Lap Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Kidney Disease / Dialysis, Constipation, Dehydration, Small Bowel Obstruction, Upper respiratory infections.

Special Equipment :

Varied equipment used in Med / Surg care.

This facility is a Critical Access facility.

Candidates are expected to complete the assignment with no attendance or behavior issues throughout the duration of the contract.

Floating is required of all nurses.

Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
