Responsibilities Position based in a large hospital environment with a Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU Work involves both inpatient and outpatient adult populations, with occasional pediatrics in outpatient and ED settings Average caseload is 4 patients per hour, typically 40 patients per day Procedures include general diagnostic x-ray, fluoroscopy, surgery, trauma, and portable studies; O-arm and DEXA experience preferred Equipment includes GE and Siemens fluoroscopy rooms, Konica DR, Siemens x-ray, GE and Carestream portables Uses Cerner EMR system Rotating shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours with weekend rotation typically once per month Floating required throughout the Radiology department as needed Holiday coverage required per hospital policy, including one major and one minor holiday Primary responsibilities include performing diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy procedures for a diverse patient population Work closely with a large team of technologists and students, especially on weekends and evenings Paid hospital orientation includes one 8-hour session and 2-3 dayshifts on unit with a mentor technologist Scrubs may be any color Free parking is provided RTO must be approved for any requests over 7 days and may require contract extension Perm staff must wait 6 months after leaving before being considered for travel roles License required if applicable Requirements Valid ARRT certification is required BLS certification required Minimum 1 year recent x-ray technologist experience, including strong skills in fluoroscopy, trauma, surgery, and portable work Experience purchasing and using own lead markers Cerner EMR experience required O-arm experience preferred; DEXA experience is a plus but not required First-time travelers considered if they have at least 2 years of relevant experience Must live at least 60 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620843.
