Dental Assistant Position
Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to support our dental providers in delivering high-quality care to patients of all ages. The Dental Assistant plays an essential role in patient comfort, preparation, and treatment, while also supporting office and lab operations. Key Responsibilities of the Dental Assistant :
Prepare patients for dental exams and ensure their comfort during treatmentObtain and review dental / medical historiesPrepare trays, instruments, and materials for proceduresAssist dentists during treatment by providing instruments and maintaining a clear treatment areaSterilize, disinfect, and maintain equipment according to safety standardsTake and process dental x-rays as directed by the dentistProvide postoperative instructions and general oral health education to patientsSupport lab work, impressions, temporary crowns, and appliance polishing as neededPerform administrative tasks such as scheduling, maintaining records, and ordering supplies when requiredAs a Dental Assistant at Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center, you'll work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment where your skills directly contribute to better oral health outcomes in the community.
What We're Looking For :
High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or technical training preferredOne to three years of related dental experience, or equivalent combination of education and trainingCurrent state-specific certifications (e.g., RDA, CDA, Expanded Functions, Coronal Polishing, Nitrous Oxide / Oxygen Analgesia, CPR) as applicable
