Job Description :

Pay : $1,250 per week
Schedule : Sunday - Thursday nights
Route : Round trips with home daily!
Requirements : Doubles endorsement required; experience with doubles

Role Overview :

Our Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers are pivotal in maintaining the nation's food supply chain. You will ensure that our customers receive their products on time and in excellent condition while embodying our company's values. In the Shuttle Driver role, you will be responsible for transporting empty trailers to warehouses and delivering full trailers to designated locations safely and efficiently. You will operate a tandem trailer, tractor trailer, or straight truck, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Your professionalism will shine as you interact with customers, vendors, and coworkers.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct all required safety checks, including pre / post trip inspections of your vehicle per DOT regulations.

Report any safety issues or needed repairs promptly.

Follow all DOT regulations and company safety guidelines, ensuring the secure transport of freight.

Ensure all required route paperwork is with the tractor trailer upon dispatch.

Follow a predetermined route schedule for efficient deliveries.

Safely perform hook / unhook procedures and park tractor trailers in designated areas.

Maintain security of all equipment and freight at all times.

Manage damaged goods and customer returns effectively, completing necessary documentation.

Unload all materials and clean trailers as required.

Maintain accurate daily records of working hours and log entries per DOT and company standards.

Engage in general housekeeping duties in loading areas and ensure trailers are clean.

Carry out other related duties as assigned to contribute to company goals.

Qualifications :

12 months of commercial driving experience required.

High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Internal candidates must be in good standing.

Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Must possess a valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.

Aged 21 years or older.

Must comply with state licensing and / or certification requirements.

Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.

Ability to work the required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights.

Pass post-offer drug testing and criminal background check.

Pass a road test satisfactorily.

Obtain a valid DOT Health Card and maintain compliance.

Able to lift and manage product cases / freight weighing between 10-90 pounds throughout the shift.
