Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an exciting opportunity on our Nursing team for a Patient Care Technician at our Center Township, PA location. You will have the primary responsibility of monitoring patient medication self-administration and therapeutic treatments.

As a Patient Care Technician, you will be an integral part of a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to providing high-quality and personalized care to individuals. This position receives frequent supervision and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Completes medication self-administration training
• Monitors patient medication self-administration and therapeutic treatments
• Ensures medication documentation is accurate and complete
• Ensures patients are adhering to policies and procedures and safe medication practices
• Conducts patient education on safe medication practices
• Conducts medication cart audits
• Documents observations, patient care, and patient interactions
• Coordinates and collaborates with all departments as necessary
• Acts as a liaison between clinical staff, medical staff, and patients.
• Assists with crises intervention.
• Documents involvement with patients in progress notes.
• Collects urine and completes paperwork for drug screening as necessary.
• Attend mandatory GRC trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.
